Have a desire to learn more about other cultures? We have a way to do it that wont cost you any airfare. Host an international student, and learn about their culture while sharing yours with them! The experience is enriching and rewarding. And, if you treat them as your own, you will find great satisfaction in being a homestay family.
We literally raised all four of our children as participants in the homestay program. We had students who stayed from 2 weeks to 1 year in our home. Our children made friends from Japan, Brazil, Taiwan, Guatemala, Switzerland, Russia, and Korea. We have even had the children of our former homestay students come as second generation homestays. It has been a fun and rewarding experience. I would recommend any family with kids to make room for a student for 3 or 4 weeks and experience what we did. You will never forget this great opportunity.
